PRODUCT / 003 / HEAVY TRANSPORT DRAWING № DWF-TP-003 / REV. A / 2026-03 MATERIAL CUSTOM · PTFE / SUPPORT

Structure Transport Pad.

Large lubricating pads made and bonded to your drawing. While structures weighing hundreds of tonnes — bridge spans, plant modules, ship blocks — are moved, launched or repositioned, they hold friction steady and limit damage to the contact face.

PTFE Lubrication Face— low-friction sliding face

3–5MM · TYP.
The low-friction layer that faces the direction of travel. Choose one of three PTFE compositions to suit your conditions.
  • Virgin PTFEUnfilled fluoropolymer. Lowest friction (μ 0.04), chemically stable, −200 to +260 °C.
  • Reinforced PTFEGlass, bronze or carbon reinforced. Higher load capacity and creep resistance.
  • Graphite PTFEGraphite improves wear resistance and thermal conductivity (μ 0.08–0.15).

Bond Interface— bonded interface

—ADHESIVE

A thermosetting adhesive joins the PTFE layer to the support. Large sizes are bonded in sections with a continuous joint.

Support Substrate— load-bearing plate · to specification

6–25MM · CUSTOM

Material, thickness and hole machining all follow your drawing, matched to the load and to the existing structure. Rust-preventive treatment before bonding secures adhesion.

— Applications

Applications

/ CIVIL · BRIDGE

Bridge Launching

Incremental launching of a bridge deck. Large custom pads hold friction steady over the full length of travel.

/ SHIPYARD · PLANT

Module Transport

Repositioning and launching plant modules, ship blocks and power equipment within a yard. The pad is shaped to the travel path on your drawing.

/ HEAVY LIFT

Skidding System

Skid pads for precise horizontal movement of heavy equipment and precast structures. They carry hundreds of tonnes while limiting scratching and damage to the contact face.
